The joy of taking a holiday can be offset by having to find someone to mind your pets, collect your mail, mow your lawns and more while you are away.
However Orange-based David and Kristy Izzard have a solution in mind.
They have started up a franchise of the My Home Watch business in the Central West.
Mr Izzard said that while clients were away they would mow their lawns, water the garden, collect mail, put out bins and keep a security watch on the home.
They will also feed, water and walk pets – among about 40 services on offer.
Mr Izzard said the home watch service started from $40 while the pet services started from $27.
He said the total cost depended on what clients wanted done.
“I think everybody is so much time poor these days,” he said.
“We’re fully insured, police-checked and fully trained.
“You can only rely on family and friends so much, you don’t have to stress about things.”
They offer security advice and will even go shopping to fill your fridge before you get home.
