My Home Watch adds Airbnb Home Care
Home service franchise My Home Watch is tapping into the fast-growing sharing economy by aligning with online accommodation marketplace Airbnb.
The franchise supports the leisure, real estate, sharing economy and holiday rental markets. Now the young Aussie business aims to position itself as the market leader in Airbnb home care services.
New services opportunity
My Home Watch CEO Natasha Morgan said she is thrilled with this new connection.
“It will allow our franchisees to assist the company, share and promote our Airbnb Home Care services with property owners throughout Australia, celebrating our shared commitment to property care excellence,” she said.
“We had customers already and we put together a more comprehensive range of services to suit those markets,” Morgan told Inside Franchise Business.
The franchise has also responded to the demand for property management in the real estate sector.
“Our corporate partnerships in the shared economy/short-term rental property managing industry are growing and our franchisees businesses are benefiting from these relationships. It’s an exciting space to be in,” she said.
My AirbnbCare services include co-ordinating property maintenance requirements with tradies, vacant home checks, bin and mail service, entry and exit condition reports, key holding, and a meet-and-greet service.
Morgan said the strategic collaboration allows My Home Watch to promote its Airbnb services using the brand’s logo.
“We’ve wanted to do this for ages,” Morgan revealed. She said the global brand has been a long-term target for partnership, the first step in establishing preferred-user status for corporate clients.
“For our franchisees, our corporate partnerships will continue to grow.”
My Home Watch growth
Morgan, a Top 30 Franchise Executive 2019, founded the home services franchise just three years ago to help home-owners with pet care and home security while they were away. The business began franchising in 2017. Since then My Home Watch has continued to diversify its offer.
“It’s really grown. We can sit back or we can diversify and grow and hit these markets that are booming, which is what we’ve done,” said Morgan.
The franchise launched an app earlier this year.
As the business looks to expand overseas the Australian market is available as a master franchise opportunity.
